Man on Fire

A yearn to burn baby. With most of the crew in route and a few fistfuls already stationed and set-up, the rest of us are crawling up the coast.

Direction headed? North and East
Location desired? Black Rock City
Reason? 99, but a chick ain't one

My 2nd year attending, and my co-pilots 5th. The experience is unlike any I've ever had. I can't really explain the; family, fortune, fun, future, and filth one indulges in. It's something everyone should see and try for themselves so they can form their own, real, opinion. My girl and I had the opp to go together last year. It made us.

What else did I do?.. well it's never enough, and prob not enough room to scribble in this blog. Honestly there is no reason for me to sell it, you either make the decision to go or you don't. I was however, fortunate enough to rock the stage w/ The Mutaytor and our great Suze Q and Jen Jen (of Cirque Berzerk) last year. Opportunities spawn from that of which we are eternally grateful for.

We met a slew of terrific people whom we now consider CREW. The plan is to bring the collective group all together at what we call Camp Pep. Location...? ask around for Vokab Kompany and the Pepperoos!

Playa bound and down. Seeya when we return.. or perhaps...

Back to the Streets

Year two and back snug where she belongs, San Diego's Street Scene is already buzzin bigger than last years excitement when our sun city announced our largest most awesomest music event will return to it's original home, the streets.

You could not really have a music event so avant garde labeled Qualcomm Stadium parking lot in Mission Valley Scene or Coors, now Cricket Wireless Amphitheater Scene. Obviously these venues proved the streets is where she belongs when attendance dropped off like the Octomom's Minivan.

We all went last year and the combination of pavement, sidewalks and large buildings surrounding us like rubber walls with some of the best music bouncing off, up and in between made me feel like a kid skipping through Disneyland on wild mushrooms.

We'll be back, and this year reppin' some of our best and newz including- Bassnectar, Cage the Elephant, Girltalk, Public Enemy, MIA, Ozomatli, along with SD locals Dirty Sweet, Delta Spirit, Anya Maria, and mo!

Hope your Vk's will be able to proudly rep the concrete of SD here soon, but for now...
We'll see you on the Streets.

The Album; we dubbed it The New Kong. A long, fun, exciting, stressful process full of sacrifice and challenge but in the end, a satisfying feeling of reward. We hope you dig it too!

SDMA's We've been nominated!

And so it seems after some hard work, a few fistfuls of shows in SD, and a couple of those "it's not what ya know but perhaps who ya know" conversations... we've been nominated for an award.

The award you ask, (bass roll please), BEST HIP HOP.

So please vote and spread the werds about town, city, country, and world. It is after all, a small one. But on the contrary, the honor and win would be HUGE for us. We love SD, love the beach and ocean, love the local motion and wave of life we've chosen to subscribe to. For now it seams, fate will have us wait.

So good luck us and VOTE HERE!
